Figural drawing either as a whole or in detail. Dimensions of up to 200 x 100 cm, larger format according to current dispositions. Rendition in color or monochrome on paper or any adequate medium. Figural sculpture Dimensions up to life-sized. Rendition in plastic material, allowing repairs. The traditional materials like stone, metal, glass, ceramics, wood are strictly excluded. The number of submitted student’s artworks: up to 20, according to catalogue pages matching the exhibited collection. The catalogue chapter profile The school will decide the number of informational text pages, including the introductory page for the school itself, the head teacher and/or the assistants. The school will decide the number of full-page illustrations of student artworks. Every illustration is to be accompanied by the name of the author, eventually the name of the artwork, technique, dimensions and/or date of creation. We’ll add a universal layout. The technological instructions for the FIGURAMA catalogue The extent of the texts School introduction + – 10 including photos of teachers and their art The extent of the manuscript 3655 characters per one printed page = 1,5 standard page The recommended extent of the text without pictures is 8 printed pages = 29240 characters = ca. 16 standard pages. The extent of the text might be less than that, but we don’t recommend using less than 6 printed pages. Teacher introduction up to 4 printed pages including photos (+ text on theory). The extent of student artwork presentation (image content) up to 20 printed pages. The technical specifications for the image and text materials The image materials have to be provided in digital form, the dimensions of the original A5 / 300 dpi, RGB color space, no ICC profiles. Data format can be either JPEG (maximum quality – minimum compression), TIFF (we recommend using the LZW compression). File names should not contain any diacritics, up to 26 characters plus the file extension. E.g. 01_Novakova.jpg. School logotypes should be provided as a vector drawing in Adobe Illustrator file with fonts converted to curves. The image descriptions should always be provided only in a separate text file in a .doc format (MS Word). The following template is recommended for your convenience – filename: author name, artwork name, technique, dimensions, year created For example: 01_Novakova.jpg Jana Nováková, Images from space, tempera, 200 x 100 cm, 2009 Do not put the description into the image filename! Please provide the actual texts on school and teachers in separate .doc (MS Word) files as well, clearly identifying the font variants in electronic form (B – bold, I – italics). Do not use formatting styles and actual fonts (e.g. Helvetica CE Bold). The deadline for sending the materials in digital form is October 15th 2014. Please send them to: Boris Jirků, Rooseveltova 24, Praha 6, 160 00, Czech Republic, or use a file sharing service and send link at email@example.com Financial terms The flat rate for catalogue participants 30000 CZK (= 30 pages) also covers the catalogue creation and printing expenses. Each school will receive 40 catalogue issues, more can be made available at retail prices. (You need to order them in advance in tens of issues to allow us time to prepare them for you.) For any page exceeding the 30000 CZK (meaning 30 pages) limit of the catalogue budget, a sum of 1500 CZK per page will be charged. The maximum number of pages reserved for a single chapter – participating school is 50. The payment will be made by the participant based on an invoice, issued after the Participant Contract has been concluded. Warranty terms Contractual receipt of artwork with stated list of artworks and authors, dimensions and weight of the artwork, material form of the artwork, a list of exhibitions during the contractual year, the agreement with artwork publishing, cost of the material, the term and means of returning the artwork, CD/DVD documentation from the participant. Labeling artwork with the name of its author, the name of the artwork, dimensions, date of creation, material, weight, school, country, return address (pedestal dimensions for sculptures). Submitted works form and content:

Realized in color or black and white on paper or other appropriate media.
Dimensions up to life-sized.
Realized only in plastic, offering the possibility of repair.
Traditional materials such as stone, metal, glass, ceramics or wood are excluded.
The number of submitted student works: up to 20, according to the catalog pages corresponding with the exhibited collection.
The school decides the number of info pages including the title page that identifies the school itself, lists the head of staff and/or the assistants.
The school decides the number of full-page student works illustrations.
Every illustration has the creator’s name listed. The name of the work, technique, dimensions and/or date can be added. We’ll use a universal layout.

Manuscript limit 3655 keystrokes per printed page = 1,5 normal page.
The recommended text limit not including pictures is 8 printed pages = 29240 keystrokes = around 16 normal pages.
It’s not required to meet the aforementioned limits, but we do not recommend using less than 6 printed pages.

A lump sum payment of 30.000 CZK (= 30 pages) by each of the catalog’s participants covers the catalog production expenses. Each school gets 40 catalog issues, more can by ordered at market price. (The order must be placed in advance in tens of issues before the issues are printed.)
Pages over the limit of 30.000 CZK (that is, over 30 pages) exceeding the catalog budget will be charged at 1.500 CZK per page.
The page limit per chapter – that is, per school – is 50.
The financial transaction will be fulfilled by the participant based on an invoice issued following the Participant agreement conclusion.
Accepting works contractually including works and artist list, work dimensions and weight, the material form of the works, exhibition summary for the contractual year, permission to publicly display the work, material costs, delivery and return terms and means, CD/DVD documentation of the works by the participant. Labeling the work with information on artist’s name, work title, dimensions, date of creation, material, weight, school, country, return address (pedestal dimensions in case of sculptures).
In case of work damage or loss, Figurama only guarantees material cost compensation.
Delivery of works takes place before the first exhibition at Faculty of Architecture new building in Prague before the actual installation.
The Figurama citizens association board reserves the rights to consider the profile of registered works in regards of meeting the requirements stated above.
The Figurama c.a. editorial board in charge of catalog design and realization informs the association board which respects its decisions.
